It’s officially Mardi Gras season and as the festivities get into swing, I have free printable for you! This Mardi Gras Dot Art is a quick and fun activity that both young toddlers and older kiddos will enjoy!
What are Dot Markers?
My son received a pack of dot markers for Christmas and I have found lots of fun printables around the Internet, but I thought a dot art activity for Mardi Gras would be the perfect use for this fun art supply staple! Dot markers are thick, easy-to-grab art tools that create a perfect little dot of ink. They are great for counting activities, color matching, and an easy way for little hands to get creative and even improve motor skills. If you don’t have dot markers, you can find some on Amazon here.
How to Use
To use this Mardi Gras Dot Art, simply print the activity sheets on your printer, and use dot markers to decorate the mask, beads, and crown. For older kiddos, you can enhance this activity by having them count the dots or make a color scheme. For little ones, it’s great motor skill practice to place the dots inside the lines!
My 2 1/2 year old son enjoyed using the dot markers to decorate and try out all the colors! Of course, he also enjoyed making dots on surfaces other than the paper, but in the spirit of Mardi Gras: Laissez les bons temps rouler!
